Finally, media is reporting this growing problem.  Check out the Facebook Page – Dogs Shot by Police, gathering of dog owners and supporters who’s goal is to bring attention to mentally unstable officers who really should not have a gun.

Everyone knows the story of Star, a Pit Bull shot by NYPD when her owner fell and had a seizure. Star was protecting him and the mentally unstable officer shot her in the head.  Star survived.   Star’s story is one of hundreds taking place every single day.  When will this stop?
